Assisted Living - If the time comes when you or your loved one needs help with daily routines, such as bathing, dressing and medication, yet complex medical care is not required, help is on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our professional care team. Our aim is to provide support when needed whilst at the same time encouraging independence in a warm, caring and active environment. And don't forget, pets can come too Memory Care - Dementia is caused when the brain becomes impaired and brain cells die. When this happens, brain cells do not replace themselves. Dementia may be as a result of old age or illness such as a stroke, or disease such as Alzheimer's. What we must remember is that our memory is very important to all of us; it helps us to make sense of the world we live in and gives us our sense of understanding. The brain stores everything that we need to know in order to live our lives. Too often, we take it for granted. When someone has Dementia you may find that, as their memory gets worse, they may become easily confused or muddled and eventually lose their ability to look after themselves. At Balmoral, we offer comfortably furnished rooms designed to help our memory care residents continue to live their lives as independently as possible. All of our memory care residents have their own bedroom with en suite toilet and wash basin. They have access to their own beautiful roof garden, media room, comfortably appointed living spaces and shower rooms. They enjoy the same fine dining experience as our other residents. We also provide regular daily activities in a stimulating but safe environment, including a country kitchen for baking sweet treats to share. Our purpose built sensory room offers a quiet place for memory care residents to reflect should they need it. At Balmoral, we never lose sight of the fact that we are dealing with people who have a lifetime of memories and we want to help families to treasure those memories, along with their loved ones. Respite Care - If you are caring for a family member and need a break, we can provide the temporary care and support needed in your absence. Respite care is also an option if you or a family member needs extra help after hospitalization or illness. Of course, our respite care residents have full access to all of the amenities and facilities we offer our permanent residents. |
